New Citroen C-Zero electric car
The French car manufacturer Citroen will launch its C-Zero electric car at the end of 2010 in the car market. The electric vehicle has the Japanese small-car Mitsubishi i-MiEV as the base. In Japan, the electric car can already be bought for about four months. The Citroen C-Zero has room for four persons and has a top speed of 130 km / h. The range on one battery charge may be up to 140 kilometers.
A few years ago, the French car company, with the Berlingo Electrique First had already developed a first electric car and more than 5,000 copies. There currently is not known at what price the small car hit the car market. The Schazungen to the purchase price will amount but well over 15,000 to 25,000 euros. Every car manufacturer is working on the development of electric cars but only if the price and the range agrees it can be a success in the auto market. A purchase price of 10,000 to 15,000 euros should be quite possible with the use of appropriate modern technology.
